Day Two

Day two was opened with an address by the Minister of Research, Science and Technology, Hon. Pete Hodgson. Following the Minister's introduction the rest of the day was taken up by conference speakers.

Day One

Day one of the conference saw workshop sessions taking place throughout the day. Following the workshops delegates enjoyed dinner before discussing the future of bioinformatics in New Zealand.


James Ostell takes delegates on a detailed tour of the many resources availble from NCBI.


Perl fiend Damian Conway explaining the ins and outs of regular expressions.

The New Zealand Bioinformatics Conference started Wednesday night with registration drinks. Delegates got to know one another while taking in the views over Wellington Harbour...
